Autodesk invest in TopBrewers for coffee-loving employees

Software developers, Autodesk have worked alongside a specialist workplace design and fit-out company to refurbish their Soho office in a project which took just six weeks from start to finish.

The expeditious refurbishment included the addition of a modern staff kitchen and breakout space with integrated TopBrewer coffee island, seating area and Lego wall to enhance the staff facilities.

Lorraine Broun managed the project internally for Autodesk and first experienced the TopBrewer coffee machine with iPad control when visiting the design company’s office, where two units are installed in the breakout area and tea point.

Lorraine said: “Coffee is really important to our employees so it was a big decision to make sure we chose the right coffee machine for the new kitchen and breakout area. When I saw the TopBrewer I was instantly impressed by the sleek design and modern technology.”

Shortly afterwards Lorraine met with Scanomat’s Andrea Jones who presented the benefits of TopBrewer in the workplace in more detail.

Lorraine said: “I was particularly impressed by the level of premium workplace clients already using the TopBrewer in their offices which gave us the confidence that it was a highly trusted and reliable solution.”

Autodesk had a second requirement for a TopBrewer in their Farnborough office as the current coffee machine had broken down. Following some modification work in the kitchen area a TopBrewer was retrofitted into the worktop.

Commenting on the reaction from Autodesk employees, Lorraine said: “The TopBrewer is a real talking point in the office and everyone loves it. Even our US colleagues have taken photos and tweeted about it on a recent visit.”

She adds: “Investing in a TopBrewer for our office refurbishment has shown our employees how much we value them. It has also encouraged them to utilise the new breakout space, promoting social engagement in the workspace.”

Simon Bracken, Co-Founder & Managing Director at Scanomat said:

“Coffee is a really emotive subject in the workplace and we are pleased that the introduction of the TopBrewer in the breakout spaces at Autodesk have significantly improved the user experience and delivered a meaningful and personalised office perk to attract and retain the best talent.”
